Cosmetic Dentistry Services at Smile Lab

From a single treatment to a complete smile transformation — here’s what Dr. Parsa Basseri and the Smile Lab Dentistry team can do for you.

Teeth Whitening

Dull, stained, or yellowed teeth can make you look older and feel less confident. Professional teeth whitening at Smile Lab Dentistry delivers results up to 7 shades brighter in a single visit — far beyond what any over-the-counter product can achieve. Fast, safe, and dramatically effective.

What it treats: surface staining, yellowing, dullness from coffee, tea, wine, or aging.
Time to complete: one appointment, typically 60-90 minutes.
Cost range: professional in-office whitening in Manhattan generally runs $300-$1,000 depending on the system used. We will give you an exact number before you commit.

When to choose whitening over other options: if your teeth are structurally sound and the main concern is color, whitening is the most conservative and affordable starting point. If you also have chips, cracks, or gaps, bonding or veneers may address everything at once.

If you want to go deeper on the process, the different systems we use, and how long results last, our teeth whitening page covers all of it.

Dental Veneers

Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth to correct chips, cracks, gaps, staining, and uneven sizing all at once. The result is a flawless, natural-looking smile that’s custom-designed to your face and features. For many patients, veneers are the single most transformative cosmetic procedure available.

What it treats: chips, cracks, gaps, permanent staining, uneven or short teeth.
Time to complete: typically two to three appointments over two to four weeks.
Cost range: porcelain veneers in NYC typically range from $1,500-$3,000 per tooth. The total depends on how many teeth are involved and the complexity of your case.

Veneers vs. bonding: veneers are more durable and stain-resistant than composite bonding and are better suited for significant or multiple corrections. Bonding costs less upfront and works well for minor chips or a single tooth.

Dr. Parsa will help you weigh both based on your goals and budget. For a full breakdown of the process, materials, and what to expect at each visit, see our dedicated porcelain veneers page.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a custom-made cap placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its shape, strength, and appearance. Our crowns are crafted to blend with your surrounding teeth so the restoration looks completely natural.

What it treats: cracked, broken, severely decayed, or root canal-treated teeth.
Time to complete: usually two appointments; the crown is placed once it is fabricated to match your tooth.
Cost range: crowns in Manhattan typically range from $1,200-$2,500 per tooth. Some crown work may be partially covered by insurance if it serves a restorative function.

When crowns make more sense than veneers: veneers cover the front surface; crowns cap the entire tooth. If a tooth is structurally compromised, a crown is the right call, not a veneer.
If your tooth is damaged and you are unsure whether a crown or another restoration is the right call, our dental crowns page walks through the decision in more detail

Dental Bonding

Tooth bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin to repair chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth. It is one of the most versatile cosmetic treatments available and can often be completed in a single appointment with no drilling and no downtime.

What it treats: minor chips, cracks, small gaps, surface discoloration, slightly uneven teeth.
Time to complete: one appointment, typically 30-60 minutes per tooth.
Cost range: bonding in NYC generally runs $600-$1100 per tooth, making it the most affordable cosmetic option for isolated concerns.

When bonding is the right choice: for patients with a single chip or minor imperfection, bonding gives a natural result quickly and at lower cost than veneers. It is not as durable long-term, but for the right case it is the smartest place to start.

Clear Aligners

Smile Lab offers CandidPro clear aligners, a virtually invisible and removable alternative to traditional braces. Custom-made, professionally monitored, and designed for real results without anyone knowing you are in treatment.

What it treats: crowding, spacing, mild to moderate misalignment.
Time to complete: treatment length varies by case, typically six to eighteen months.
Cost range: clear aligner treatment in Manhattan generally runs $3,500-$7,000 depending on case complexity. Some cases qualify for partial insurance coverage if there is a functional bite concern.

Clear aligners vs. traditional braces: aligners are removable and nearly invisible, which is why most adult patients prefer them. They work well for mild to moderate alignment issues. More complex bite corrections may still require traditional orthodontic treatment.

You can see before-and-after cases and learn more about how we monitor treatment on our CandidPro clear aligners page.

Smile Makeover

A full smile makeover combines multiple cosmetic procedures into one personalized treatment plan. Dr. Parsa Basseri assesses your teeth, listens to your goals, and designs a roadmap from your current smile to the one you have been picturing.

What it treats: multiple concerns at once, including color, shape, alignment, and proportion.
Time to complete: depends on which treatments are combined; Dr. Parsa will map out a realistic timeline at your consultation.
Cost range: smile makeovers vary widely based on the procedures involved. Most patients investing in a full transformation in Manhattan spend between $5,000-$30,000+. We offer 0% financing to make the process manageable.

What Patients Say About Their Smile Lab Experience

I love this office! Everyone is so kind and Dr Basseri is so kind and good at explaining things. He is the most knowledgeable dentist I've found on TMJ and has been great all around.

I've seen lots of different dentists over the years as my insurance has changed or I've moved. Smile Lab is the first place where I feel like they really care about me. I had some rough cavities filled and was nervous because of a previous bad experience. The dentist here had no problem giving me breaks or extra medicine when I needed it. He even gave my jaw a massage when I could close my mouth again! I'll definitely trust Smile Lab with my future dental care.

Office is in an awesome location. Right off the F train on freaking Broadway! You enter and are greeted professionally, the staff are all really nice and the whole office is squeaky clean. Dr. Waise has great bedside manner, easy going but very knowledgeable. Ive been having headaches for 8 years and within 5 minutes of meeting me he explained to me the neck and jaw issues that come from posture, recommended a solution and even loosened up some of the sore muscles in my jaw! Cleaning was great, everything was transparent and nobody hassled me for anything. Ill be coming back, for a filling, a cleaning even if its only for a jaw massage!

Ive been scared of the dentist my whole life, and truthfully it had been years since I had been to one, then I had horrible jaw pain and decided to go to smile lab. Dr. E and the team were phenomenal, and I've recommended them to everyone I know. Thank you for the painless, speedy, and kind help!

Common Questions About Cosmetic Dentistry in Manhattan

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is a branch of dental care focused on improving the appearance of your teeth, gums, and smile. Unlike general dentistry, which focuses on oral health and function, cosmetic dentistry addresses aesthetic concerns like staining, chips, gaps, misalignment, and uneven sizing.

At Smile Lab, every cosmetic treatment is designed with both appearance and long-term oral health in mind. Dr. Parsa Basseri believes a smile you feel good about has a direct impact on your confidence and daily life.

In most cases, cosmetic dental procedures are not covered by insurance because they are considered elective rather than medically necessary. Some treatments, like crowns or bonding, may be partially covered if they also serve a restorative function.

At Smile Lab, we offer flexible financing options and will work with you to maximize any available insurance benefits before your consultation. Call us at 332-330-4807 and our team will walk you through your options.

Dr. Parsa Basseri at Smile Lab is widely regarded as one of the top cosmetic dentists in Manhattan. A NYU College of Dentistry graduate with honors in esthetics, active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and leader of a team with over 1,400 five-star patient reviews, Dr. Parsa combines technical skill with a patient-first approach that delivers results patients consistently rave about.

It depends on the case. Braces and clear aligners are sometimes considered cosmetic when used purely to improve appearance, but they can also be medically necessary when correcting bite issues, jaw alignment problems, or other functional concerns. In those cases, a portion of treatment may be covered by insurance.

At Smile Lab, we offer CandidPro clear aligners as a discreet alternative to traditional braces. Dr. Ebrahimi will assess your situation during your free consultation.

The most commonly requested cosmetic dental treatments at Smile Lab include teeth whitening, dental veneers, tooth bonding, dental crowns, and clear aligners. Whitening is the most popular starting point for patients wanting a quick refresh, while veneers and bonding are top choices for chips, cracks, and discoloration.

For patients with multiple concerns, a full smile makeover combines treatments into one personalized plan. Dr. Parsa will recommend the right combination based on your specific goals.

The right answer depends on what you want to change:

  • Staining or dullness: professional teeth whitening
  • Chips, cracks, or gaps: bonding or veneers
  • Misaligned teeth: clear aligners
  • Damaged or weakened teeth: crowns
  • Multiple concerns at once: a smile makeover

The best first step is a free consultation with Dr. Parsa Basseri. He will evaluate your smile, listen to your goals, and give you a clear, honest recommendation, no pressure, no guesswork.

Costs vary by treatment. Here is a realistic ballpark for cosmetic dentistry in NYC:

  • Teeth whitening: $300-$1,000
  • Dental bonding: $300-$600 per tooth
  • Dental crowns: $1,200-$2,500 per tooth
  • Porcelain veneers: $1,500-$3,000 per tooth
  • Clear aligners: $2,500-$7,000
  • Smile makeover: $5,000-$30,000+

We accept most PPO insurance, offer 0% financing, and will give you exact numbers before you commit to anything. Call us or book a free consultation to get a clear picture of your specific case.
