Dr. Lewis is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-med and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2007. He continued his education with a General Practice Residency at the UCLA Harbor Medical Center and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internships at the New York Medical College and the Jacobi Medical Center. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at New York Medical College.
Dr. Lewis’ interest in dentistry and oral surgery started early in his life. In 1998 and 2002, he completed internships for the National Leadership Forum on Dentistry and Medicine in Houston, Texas. His research in 2002 focused on the interactions of medicine and dentistry related to oral cancer, primary healthcare, and pathologic disorders in South Africa. This experience sparked a desire to make oral surgery accessible to all – leading to his ardent pursuit of a career in oral surgery.
Specializing in various surgical procedures, including dental implants, bone grafts, sinus lift surgery, oral pathology, tooth extractions, and pre-prosthetic surgery, Dr. Lewis is recognized for his professional expertise and commitment to advancing his dental knowledge.

I’ve been coming in to Smile Lab for over 2 years. Definitely had great experience every visit. The office is modern, sleek, and patient-centric. You can even watch Netflix lying down while you’re having procedures done. I started my journey here getting dental cleaning with Raymond and general consulting with Dr. Ebrahimi, then as my teeth need more attention on cavity, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants… I received care from more doctors and staff here. Dr. Basseri and Dr. Lewis are amazing, so are Jiovanni, Luis and Sam. They are very professional and friendly. They make dental visits rather enjoyable than scary.

Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had getting my wisdom tooth pulled I came in very anxious and Dr Lewis helped a lot before even starting his procedure by the time I blinked my tooth was out and I didn’t feel a thing I will definitely be coming back for all my dental procedures
